About Our Company
Puga and Associates, Inc. is a consulting and engineering firm that has been serving architects and developers in the State of Florida since 1990. We specialize in the electrical, plumbing, and mechanical and life safety design of commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. Our services include studies in the conceptual stage, preliminary design, and final design and construction drawings ready for permit. We also furnish specifications and general on-site observation of work throughout the construction phase. Our emphasis is placed on value engineering, which gives the client the best product versus cost.
Green Building Design
The firm is active in green building design using Energy Star and USGBC standards. We are corporate and chapter members of the US Green Building Council. We have multiple engineers on staff that are LEED Accredited Professionals. Our design projects encompass all types of buildings including commercial, professional offices, industrial warehouses, manufacturing, hotels, retail stores, churches, restaurants, and custom homes.
We have a strong working experience on various projects throughout the Caribbean and in Honduras. We are currently working on establishing offices in Panama to procure design and consultation projects in Central and South America. Our goal is to continue to promote green building practices throughout North, Central and South America.

Airside Hangar #102 at Opa Locka Airport
This project consists of the renovation of a pre WW2 aircraft hangar that has been designated as a “historic building”. The 44,000 square foot hangar includes an existing two story office component on each side.
Doral City Hall
The City of Doral, Florida has recently approved the design and construction of a new 3 story, 62,000 square foot administrative building with an adjacent 3-level parking garage. The new building will consolidate all of the city services including commissioners’ chambers, planning and zoning, city administration and the office of the mayor. The project has been designed for LEED Silver certification.
Puga and Associates has opened an office in Panama City, Panama.
“Puga and Associates International S.A.” is a new foreign corporation officially opened and operating in Panama. We are currently working on various projects in and around the city. We are excited about the many opportunities which lie ahead in that region.
